A thirty-two year veteran of pastoral ministry, David served congregations in Vermont, England, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. In August, 2002, He assumed leadership of the work of the Toronto Jewish Mission at New Covenant House.

David Cooke David Cooke

With a burden to reach the world with the good news of Jesus, David is eager to serve among the Jewish community of Toronto.

David holds an M.Div.(Hons.) from Toronto Baptist Seminary (2004; Toronto, Ontario, Canada), and a B.A. from Queen's University (1995; Kingston, Ontario, Canada).

David and his wife are involved in a weekly ESL (English as a second language) ministry in Downtown Toronto. Before coming to TJM in June of 2004, David served in a number of pastoral capacities since 2000 in churches in Orillia, Toronto, and Port Colborne (Ontario, Canada). Prior to that, he worked for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) as Internet Systems Programmer.

Hua Lin Hua Lin

Hua Lin (Helen) serves as bookkeeper for TJM, working part time in our offices. Helen became a Christian in her homeland of China - a place that is very hostile towards the Gospel. She worked in the field of accounting for several years there, and came to Canada with her husband and daughter three years ago.

Volunteer Workers

Numerous unpaid volunteers also serve in the work of the Mission on a regular basis. Some assist in outreach and evangelism, while others provide "behind the scenes" support. These dedicated helpers are essential to the work of The Toronto Jewish Mission.
